Plagiarisme Check

Screening for Plagiarism

Tashfiyatuna: Jurnal Pendidikan Keislaman is committed to maintaining academic integrity and preventing plagiarism and other forms of publication misconduct.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a similarity checking process before entering or during the editorial review process. The journal uses Turnitin as the primary tool to identify similarities between submitted manuscripts and existing publications.

Similarity checking results are used as one of the considerations in evaluating manuscript originality. A similarity score does not automatically indicate plagiarism, as the editorial team will assess the context of similarities, including quotations, references, common terminology, and properly cited materials.

Manuscripts with significant similarity or indications of plagiarism may be returned to authors for revision, rejected, or further investigated according to the severity of the case.

Plagiarism Levels and Actions

Minor Similarity

Minor similarity refers to limited overlap in wording or short sections without significant appropriation of ideas, data, or research findings.

Action:
The author will be asked to revise the manuscript and provide appropriate citations or clarification.

Moderate Similarity

Moderate similarity refers to substantial unattributed overlap with previously published works, including inappropriate use of ideas, arguments, or substantial sections.

Action:
The manuscript may be rejected, and the editorial team may request clarification from the authors.

Severe Plagiarism

Severe plagiarism refers to significant misuse of another author's work, including reproduction of research findings, ideas, data, or substantial parts of published works without proper attribution.

Action:
The manuscript will be rejected. Further actions may include notifying relevant institutions or applying sanctions according to the circumstances of the case.

Author Responsibility

All authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original and properly acknowledge the work of others.

Authors must ensure that:

  • all sources are appropriately cited;
  • submitted manuscripts are not duplicate publications;
  • data and research findings are reported honestly;
  • copyright and ethical requirements are respected.

The editorial team reserves the right to take appropriate action if plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are identified before or after publication.
